Lucid485 Serial RS-485 Modbus Analog Input Module for 4/8 voltage or current signals.
Modbus RTU Analog Input Module for 0-10V 4-20mA signals.
Acquisition and analog to digital conversion (Modbus 0-10V ADC) of 4/8 voltages or currents
The Serial Modbus analog input module acquires up to 8 analog voltage or current channels. It is available for the input ranges: 0-5V, 0-10V and 0-24V as well as 0-20mA range.
Optionally, the Modbus ADC Module is also available for the negative input voltages: -5 ~ +5V, -10 ~ 10V and -24 ~ 24V.
Precision Serial DAQ Module
All analog input channels provide signal conditioning and have an accuracy of 0.25% and a resolution of 12 bit.
Typical Application: 0-10V and 4-20mA Interfaces
The devices are typically used in order to measure DC voltages and currents or nearly static signals.
Especially the 0-10V option of the Modbus Analog Input Module is made for interfacing and processing of signals generated by 0-10V outputs as they are wide-spread in the automation and building sector.
Wind sensors for example generate a 0-10V signal proportional to the wind speed. The Modbus ADC Module can measure this and forward the data to the connected computer.
In combination with the AO4/AO4 – Modbus Analog Output Module, which provides analog voltage or current outputs, a reliable transmission of measurement data can be realized by using the 0-10V interface.
In order to build a high reliable long distance transmission line, it is recommended to use a 4-20mA interface instead of a voltage signal. The current output option of the Lucid485 Modbus Analog Output Module generates currents in the range of 4-20mA and eliminates the influence of the line during the transmission. In combination with the 0-20mA input module reliable and interference-free transmission lines can be realized.
Multi-protocol support
In order to be most flexible, the Lucid485 module supports multiple protocols. The Modbus RTU protocol gives access to IO values like voltage or digital states.
The LucidControl Network Frame protocol is compatible with of our IO modules and gives full documented access to the unit.
Support of the industry standard ASCII protocol is planned.
Easy Installation of Hard and Software
LucidControl modules are easy to install and start working immediately after set up.
LucidControl provides drivers for all major operating systems. Command line tools and APIs for Windows and Linux are available.
API is compatible with .NET, Java and Python
