The Lucid485 Serial IO module for analog and digital signals extends our analog and digital IO solutions available for USB and Ethernet.
Lucid485 makes all analog and digital IO functions accessible by the serial RS-485 and Modbus RTU protocol. It integrates flawlessly into the product family and combines LucidIo technology with the popular Modbus RTU protocol.
Lucid485 integrates in automation environment and allows PLCs to acquire and control voltages, currents and digital signals via Modbus RTU protocol.
Luicd485 can be supplied with 7-24V. It is equipped with reliable and plug-able terminal connectors, made for switch cabinet installation.

Software and Documentation
In order to make the setup as simple as possible a large and still growing software package is available. The package includes also documentation as well as tutorials giving valuable information and ideas for manifold applications.
The command line tool is compatible with all LucidControl Serial RS-485 IO Modules and can be used in order configure and control them without any single line of programming. Giving full access to the modules and being available for all major operating systems without installation, it saves development time. The command line tool is best suited to create portable applications as they are required for web access easily.
Libraries for many programming languages like Java or Python are available.Additionally, the modules are completely documented without anything being excluded or kept secret which allows creation of new interfaces or supporting other architectures.
